Day 1 - Arrive Istanbul

Arrive at Ataturk International Airport in Istanbul. Welcome and assist by our tour guide.

Today we will explore the famous capital city of Roman and Ottoman Empires.  Our agenda includes one of the most elegant mosques of Istanbul, the Sultan-Ahmet-Mosque or the so-called ‘‘Blue Mosque “, the Roman Hippodrome, Topkapı Palace and Hagia Sophia.

First, we visit the inner hall and the prayer room of the Blue-Mosque and enjoy the unique beauty of its walls that are covered with blue-colored Iznik ceramics. Then we visit the ancient Roman Hippodrome with the Egyptian Obelisk, Serpentine Column, and the Colossus. Our next station is Topkapı Palace, which was the residence of Ottoman Sultans for 400 years and followed by lunch at Chinese restaurant. After lunch we will visit Hagia Sophia, which is one of the oldest and biggest churches of ancient times, which is nowadays being used as a mosque. Our final visit is the Grand Bazaar – the oldest and largest covered shopping center which covered by hemispheric domes-houses 4, 000 shops.

After, you will be transferred to airport for your onward or homeward flight.
